Methodology
Research starts with primary sources wherever they exist: results releases, annual and interim reports, investor presentations, regulatory filings, traffic statistics, airport disclosures and manufacturer data. Secondary sources and industry bodies provide context where appropriate.
- Periods stay visible. Calendar-year and financial-year reporters are not silently aligned.
- Currencies are preserved. Figures stay in the reporting currency unless a calculation requires conversion.
- Definitions are labelled. Headline, adjusted, recurring and comparable measures are not treated as identical.
- Calculated figures are flagged. Any metric derived from reported inputs is marked as calculated.
- Guidance is not an outcome. Company guidance and long-term targets are presented as forecasts.
- Missing beats invented. Where a company does not disclose a usable figure, the data says so rather than estimating it.

Editorial standards
- Facts, interpretation and scenarios are clearly separated.
- Material claims link to supporting evidence.
- Corrections are made openly when new evidence changes a figure or a conclusion.
Corrections policy
Accuracy matters more than speed. If you spot a factual error, a misread figure or an outdated number, please report it using the contact form below, with a link to the article or data page and, where possible, the source that shows the correct figure.
Every report is reviewed. Confirmed errors are corrected, and material corrections (any change to a figure, a conclusion or a claim about a company) are noted at the end of the article with the date and a short description of what changed. Minor fixes such as typos are made without a note. An article only receives a new “updated” date when the analysis itself changes substantially.
Using and citing the data
Journalists, analysts and researchers are welcome to cite figures and charts with the attribution “Source: Aviation Intelligence”, linking to the specific airline profile, dataset or article where possible. For figures that depend on a company disclosure, please also check the original filing linked from the relevant page.
