Aviation Intelligence (“we”, “us” or “our”) is operated by Guillem Perez, Bokreta utca 8, Hungary. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit gpaviationintelligence.com.
Information we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address and message you provide so we can respond to your enquiry. We may also receive limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited through essential site operations and, where you consent, analytics.
Accounts
If you create an account, we collect your name, email address and password (the password is stored only in hashed form), and the information you choose to keep in your account: saved airline and airport comparisons, the airlines, manufacturers and airport operators you follow, and your alert choices. We use this to run your account, show your saved comparisons, provide CSV downloads and send the results alerts you ask for. The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you, the membership you sign up for.
Results alerts
When you follow an airline, manufacturer or airport operator, we email you when we add new results for it. You can stop alerts at any time by unfollowing from your account or the profile page, or by contacting us.
The Aviation Signal newsletter
If you subscribe on our newsletter page, or tick the newsletter box when you register, we add your email address to our subscriber list on WordPress.com (Jetpack Newsletter) and send you The Aviation Signal, usually every Friday. The legal basis is your consent. We record that you opted in and when, so we can show your consent. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect your account.
Emails to members
When we email registered members, we record whether the email was opened and which links were clicked, using a small image and links that pass through our site. We use this only to improve our emails, keep it with your account, and never share it. You can turn this off at any time from the “Manage email preferences” link in any of our emails.
Signing in with Google or LinkedIn
You can create your account, or sign in to it, with your Google or LinkedIn account. If you choose this, Google or LinkedIn shares with us your name, your email address (and whether it is verified) and a unique identifier for your Google or LinkedIn account. LinkedIn may also include your profile photo, which we do not store. We never see your Google or LinkedIn password, and we do not post to, read from or otherwise access your Google or LinkedIn account.
We use this information only to create your account or sign you in, to link the sign-in to an existing account with the same email address, and, if you join the network planning competition through Google or LinkedIn, to create your public competition username from your name (you can register with your email address instead to choose your own username). We keep your email address and the account identifier with your account, and your competition username if you join. We do not sell this information or share it with third parties, and it is removed if your account is deleted.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the website, respond to contact requests, send subscribed updates, understand how the site is used, and improve our analysis and services. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies needed for the website to work. With your consent, we may also use analytics cookies through services connected via Google Site Kit and Jetpack to understand site usage. You can accept, reject or change your choices at any time through the cookie settings link. Please see our Cookie Policy for details.
Service providers
We use WordPress.com and Jetpack (Automattic) to host the website, including member accounts, and to operate forms, the newsletter subscriber list and site statistics. Google services connected through Google Site Kit may process analytics-related information where enabled and consented to. These providers process data under their own privacy terms and may process data outside your country of residence.
Retention
We keep contact messages only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, or meet legal obligations. Analytics information is retained according to the relevant service settings. Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account data, saved comparisons and follows within one month, except for anything we must keep for legal reasons. Newsletter subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To delete your account or stop the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link or email us from the address you registered with. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
