Airline Network Planning Competition
Build your network.
Compete for profit.
Start with a blank network and two aircraft. Choose their European bases, configure the cabins and compete for shared passenger demand. Improve your schedule and fares throughout a four-week season, with weekly profit cutoffs every Friday at 18:00 UTC.
Your player dashboard shows the season status and next submission cutoff. You can register, plan and submit before opening. Weekly profit is credited only at the confirmed Friday cutoffs.
Practise first
New to network planning? Try the practice version first: the same airports, aircraft types, costs and demand model, with no submissions, deadlines or leaderboard. Your practice plan stays on your device and never affects the competition.
How to play
- Configure your aircraft. In Fleet and Economics, choose a base, aircraft type and cabin mix for each aircraft. The two bases can be different; all selections start blank.
- Build the schedule. Add out-and-back rotations from each base, within the aircraft’s range, block-time and daily limits. New rotations follow the previous return and minimum base turnaround; adjust departure times, operating days and destination turnaround as needed.
- Set your fares. Enter separate outbound and return fares for each fitted cabin. New fares start blank. Demand responds to price and departure time differently for each cabin.
- Read the market. Market Briefing shows cabin demand by departure time, market references and competing supply, fare bands and relative fare pressure. Each player activates demand with their first valid submission, unevenly across routes and cabins; those additions stay fixed. Registrations and drafts add no demand. Resubmitting changes supply and fares, without drawing new demand.
- Submit your network. Entry is approved automatically; no game-master approval is needed. Use Submit network to put your changes into the shared market. Your accepted network’s projected profit and live rank can change as other players submit or resubmit. Private draft edits only count after submission.
How you score
Live leaderboard total = credited profit + your submitted network’s current weekly projection. During the season, each Friday at 18:00 UTC, your last network accepted before the cutoff is scored against that market snapshot and one simulated week’s profit is credited. Your last accepted network carries forward until replaced. Earlier credits stay fixed. After four cutoffs, the sum of the four weekly profits, including losses, decides the final standings.
Every player uses the same aircraft costs, airport fees and fuel price, listed in full in the Rules tab once you join. Both aircraft incur fixed costs even while idle. Demand is a synthetic game model, not live booking data.
